It is no surprise our continent is always mentioned among those that abuse women rights.
Although there African nations where women have freedom to decide whom to marry, these countries are few. An example is that it is rare for West African women to choose their partners, the family choose the husband.
Traditional believes still influence everything.As women of these generation and African, we have to make a difference by making our choices.
Is a pity is impossible for some. Make use of this right if you can.

Indeed forced marriages is what Africa is known for, but the question is do women involved in these marriages see them as forced? Thus, I believe that African women should be taught from an early age on how to differentiate between arranged & personal choice marriges.
